As one of the first Speech-Language Pathologists in California trained in The Hanen Program: More Than Words (hanen.org), Breena pioneered securing funding through the San Diego Regional Center in 2004. She was also the first SLP in San Diego to implement The Hanen Program: TalkAbility, offering parent education for verbal children with social-pragmatic disorders.

A graduate of the Myo Mastermind program at The Breathe Institute (thebreatheinstitute.com), Breena has completed over 90 hours of continuing education in myofunctional therapy. Her dedication to lifelong learning was recognized when she received the 2024 Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA—a national honor for professionals demonstrating exceptional commitment to professional development.
